CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Jesus welcomes and loves the little children. The disciples of Jesus turned the parents and children away, but Jesus said "let the little children come to me" (Matthew 19:14). In Mark 10:15, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it", and he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." ~Matthew 19:14~

Indeed, children are precious in the eyes of God! The children's ministry here at CBC is committed to bringing children to Jesus, introducting them to the character of Jesus and His saving grace, and helping them develop a relationship with Him as they grow spiritually.

Our Visions

Children are the largest mission field in the world, and we are charged to reach out to boys and girls for God!

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. ~Proverbs 22:6~

Our Missions

Children are a gift from God entrusted to our care. We strive to partner with parents and co-workers who are committed to serving in the Children's Ministry to carry out our missions:

  • ministering to children that they may come to know, accept, love and follow Jesus Christ
  • helping children in building personal relationships with Jesus, that they may be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and live according to the likeness of Christ
  • nurturing children spiritually that they may grow and thrive in Christ's love

Children's Programs at CBC

Kidz Church

TIME: Sunday 11:30am-12:30pm

Church and worship is not just for adults. Children, too, can praise and worship God! Matthew 21:16 - "Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, "'From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise'?"

In Kidz Church, children from K-6th grade are engaged in lively singspiration, a time of prayer, Bible verse memorization, Message of the Week, offering and audio story time.


Children's Sunday School

TIME: 9:45am-11:15am

In Sunday School, children learn about the Bible and how God's Words are made relevant in their lives. Children are divided into classes based on their age groups:

  • Grade 1-2
  • Grade 3-4
  • Grade 5-6
  • preschool 2-3 years old
  • preschool 4-5 years old
  • nursery - less than 2 years old (9:45am-12:30pm)

Friday Night Children's Fellowship

TIME: 7:30pm-9:30pm

The Children's Fellowship meets every Friday night. As the week winds down, this is a time when the kids unleash their energy and learn about biblical truths in a fun setting with their friends. Programs typically include games, songs, crafts, scripture memorization and prizes. Also, on the 1st Friday of each month, the children will enjoy Popcorn Movie Night!


Seasonal/Special Programs

There is Vacation Bible School every year in the summer where kids spend a weekend of fun and learning.
